This place is my all time favorite, they got recognition from a pastry named – The Rainbow Cake”. That got them very famous but for me, the attraction was their Chicken Quiche from the baked section – Which has chicken with cheese and mayonnaise baked. It is yummilicious and a must try. Go over to the restaurant before 5 PM as it gets over by that time.
My second recommendation is in Sandwiches – Spicy Harrison Chicken which I had by coincidence. This dish was actually recommended by a waiter, as it was one of the few dishes left.
Theobroma especially the Powai outlet is usually packed after 7 PM and most of their products get over by 5 PM.
If you happen to go there after 8 PM, my advice would be to not waste your time looking at the menu as you will get only what is available. You won’t have the option to be choosy or picky, so you will have to settle with whatever there is, or you might get lucky and get the chance to try a great dish like this. It is spicy but not so much that you need water right beside you. The mix of vegetable to lower down the spices is a good technique. Don’t worry it’s over loaded with chicken.
In addition, I was also recommended to try – the Cheese Cake, which I did. It looked pretty good and tasted even better, the texture was smooth and its crunchy base was definitely the best surprise.
The total bill turned out to be around INR 400, which is quite reasonable I believe. For people who think Theobroma is only a place for desserts and sweet tooths, you should definitely go and give the above mentioned baked dishes a try and you won’t regret it.
