A delicious journey through the flavours of Asia. Executive chef Nikhil Chib has delivered a food child in 1995 in Southeast Asia fare and named it BUSAGO. An extended family has come to reside in the lane of MOD, Dominoes – Powai Hiranandani.
Its a small eatery with seating with colourful interiors and their speciality is drawn on the wall. The light music in the background keeps your mood light and happy. The sofas are arranged in the right side of the restaurant and the rest of the area is covered with tables.
To start with we had pretty less options on the menu for starters. They have just 3 options out of which two are momos’ (Veg/Non-veg) and other Crispy Potato but don’t be disappointed they have an option of making starters. If you like some gravy dish of theirs you could turn that into a starter and they would be more than happy to serve it.
Non – Veg/veg – not a fan of momo but still the non-veg that is chicken momos’ were great!!! Having the authentic moms have spoiled my taste for momos!!
They have a lot of option for the mains there are three types in that – Stir-fried, Busa Bowls and Curries.
SPICY CHILI NOODLES
Topped with egg and looks damn cute!! I think I am a fan of foods in a bowl. They all look so great. Coming on the food, it’s tangy and a bit spicy. Well, it swings both ways in the same bowl. It has an option of chicken, veggies and pork. The best part it has very few vegetables ( for non – veg) and can be customized on request!! Quantity is great, enough for 2 heavy eaters.
Their famous curry has been derived from the Kaukswe story. Burmese kaukswe is a famous curry eaten all over Burma as a staple dish. It’s basically a coconut curry with chicken or vegetables eaten over a bowl of egg or rice noodles and topped with yummy condiments like – Fried Garlic, Spring Onion, Fried Onions, Prawn Pickle, Green Chilli, Celery, Lime, Boiled Egg, Coriander and chilli powder.
This is my favourite, it’s more like thai food as it has coconut gravy. It smells amazing and makes you hungry as soon as it arrives. I recommend you to have this.
You also have an option to Make your own bow and the recipe to that is written on their wall if you are confused about it you could read it at any time.
Banoffee and chocolate pudding layered in a cup. It is a bit hard to dig in as it’s not that moist. Being toffee flavoured the dessert is super sweet on the other hand Flourless chocolate cake is gluten-free and moist. It cuts through very easily.
The staff is small and you would think that the service is slow well it’s not. The manager Russel handles everything amazingly. They are sweet and very attentive.
